Shirt with collar For our second assignment, we are required to make final patern block from the box board with seam allowance for the bodice, sleeves, and collar added. Box board without seam allowance Final pattern block with seam allowance added Shoulder seams : 1 cm Neckline : 1 cm Armhole : 1 cm Side seams : 2 cm Next step is tracing the final pattern block onto the colico fabric and cut it. First of all, sew all the darts. Then, sew the sides and shoulder of the bodice together. Onto the sleeves, it is quite tricky as the lines of the arms and sleeves must meet and might took some time to adjust the pin. Personally for me, I find it much easier to ensure that the lines are aligned by doing hand sewing first to lock the position, then sew it again with the machine.
